We’re eyeing our first winter storm of the year for southeastern Newfoundland, and potentially the first deep chills of the year for Labrador. There is a winter storm watch in effect for southeastern Newfoundland, you can find the latest details here.
Reminder: A winter storm watch just means conditions look good for winter storm conditions in the next 2 to 3 days. They will be upgraded to warnings if the storm is still likely, and the snowfall amounts start to reach warning levels within the short range forecast. Having said that, there’s a few areas outside of the watch that might need some blowing snow advisories, so keep that in mind for Friday night into Saturday.
