Yikes! I was checking to see how the Wind Warning that’s in effect for the GNP was doing, and Englee just reported a gust of 127 km/h. It’s not uncommon for Englee to get some enhanced winds in a west to southwesterly flow. It’s very similar to Wreckhouse, but it’s just a little harder to predict how much the enhancement is on any given setup. Either way, you can find the details on that warning here.

Otherwise, it looks like another fairly busy week with maybe only 1 or 2 days of more quiet weather. I will also note that the updates I did for day 6 and 7 last night are already showing signs of shifting, so I would keep any confidence on those days pretty low. While it all looks like regular Newfoundland spring, there is some upsides to what I’m seeing in the next 7 days. The times where solutions are showing temperatures up near 15 C has increased, so it won’t be too much longer before spring really takes hold. Quite frankly, I usually don’t truly expect anything nice until at least May. Even then, we know to be weary of snowfall until at least May 2-4… or June 2-4 some years.

Either way, things will get greener, I promise, even if it gets a bit whiter momentarily in some areas. It’s all basically slow release rain at this point anyway.
