Welcome to July! That generally means the risk of snow in Newfoundland is now 0%, while it’s getting pretty low in Labrador. Although for southeastern Newfoundland, rain will be a bigger issue. There’s already some special weather statements out for that, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them upgraded (possibly even already the case by Monday morning) to rainfall warnings. You can find those details here.
Otherwise, my apologies for the lack of updates as of late. A combination of summer activities, work cycles, and trying to catch up on poor sleep has kept my energy and enthusiasm levels pretty low during the evenings. There’s also a lot more house work to do during the daytime now, and we haven’t had that many dry days to do it, so you have to take advantage of what you have when you have it. Thankfully the extreme dry conditions have recently turned a bit of a corner for Labrador, hopefully any wildfires can be brought under control, or even better, fully put out. Newfoundland continues to see a fairly wet summer, but at least the highs aren’t terribly cold (we’ve definitely had much colder).
