We’ve got some extreme cold on the go in Labrador this morning, and a winter storm for southeastern Newfoundland. Find the details on those alerts here.

I am a bit busy today, but just know that the scenario with the storm tracking further inland is the one to go with for today. Otherwise, the details haven’t changed all that much.

The other highlight of the day is that Wabush Airport bottomed out at -44 C this morning. I’ve gone cross-country skiing once in -37 wind chill, so I have a very rough idea of how cold that feels, but I’d wager for many people (especially along Newfoundland’s south coast) that’s incomprehensibly cold. So hey, maybe a little shovelling isn’t so bad after all.
