In spite of a few fall-like days thrown in there, the patterns remains in a generally summer flow for the next little while. However, we did break 18 new daily max high records this past week, so it’s been a pretty warm one, especially in parts of Labrador.

Average highs for this time of year remain between 18 and 22 C for Newfoundland. Lows are usually between 8 and 12 C. In Labrador, highs are usually between 14 and 20 C, with lows between 5 and 9 C. (expand for more)

There are no immediate tropical cyclone threats to worry about, although there are a few areas of potential development in the tropics now being flagged for the next 7 days. So unlikely we’ll be dealing with anything this week, but there’s some potential for next week. That would make sense since the peak of tropical activity for Atlantic Canada is usually around September 12th.
