So we’re going to experience two utterly useless things at the same time this week. The first is what we are all currently trying to shake the effects of off this morning: Time change. The seconds is inevitable complains about winter. Yes there’s more Winter weather coming, and no there’s nothing you can do about it. I maintain, you should really hold off complaints about winter until a less historically wintry month. April is kinda 50/50 depending on the year. May and June are definitely supposed to be more spring than winter. And yet… the past has shown us there’s always a bit of both. Actually, you can probably argue that the classic Newfoundland spring is some kind of weird spring-winter hybrid where you get none of the benefits of either. Who knows, maybe with climate change we’ll start to get actual spring more often… there has to be some positives.
I digress. In the meantime, just know there’s some more potential snowfall on the way, and this time it’s going to be super variable depending on proximity to the coast and elevation. As it stands right now, the agreement is quite bad on where in the province we should even be most worried about. So stay tuned for updates moving forward, and I will try my best to breakdown what we’re probably looking at regardless of where it ends up. Most of you have probably already read the special weather statement, but there are also some Wreckhouse and wind warnings in effect. You can read up on those here. That’s it, for now.
